St. Kilda Botanical Gardens

Small town botanical gardens are sometimes the best kind of botanical gardens, and yes, okay St Kilda is technically part of Melbourne which is anything but a small town, however, St. Kilda is a seaside suburb and it feels so much further away from the tall buildings and busy people of the city than the 20 minute tram ride it takes to get there. And this garden has all the trappings of a small town garden. Graffiti sprawled on the iron body of the glasshouse - a modest thing, but no less beautiful or enthralling to stroll around. A charming little map that makes the park feel vast and endless, until you fall out the other end, accidentally, 15 minutes later.
