Harbour Way
“to pay attention, this is our endless and proper work.”
- Mary Oliver
How to stay sane after a year of walking in circles?
Or create when you can’t leave the tiny geographical area around your home? Or have hope, when the pandemic feels endless and edgeless and claustrophobic and smothering?
This is how I dragged myself, how I continue to drag myself, through lockdowns and levels and a world that has so suddenly became so small. I have paid attention, as though it is my endless and proper work.
And, in so doing have found the creatures and features of Harbour Way, once unnoticed and invisible, have become like friends. Shifts in seasons and weather and light changing a landscape that, as it turns out, was not so mundane after all.
