Planten un Blomen, Hamburg

The green heart of the city. Planten un Blomen (plants and flowers) says it on the tin really. It’s a vast, sprawling escape of green, filled with water features, play parks, greenhouses, a Japanese garden, a rose garden and of course an abundance of plants and flowers. With such limited time we only managed to explore a tiny part of the gardens and I already want to go back. And it’s free. And it’s just down the road from the Zoological museum so you can have a whole day of natural history loveliness.
