Postcards from Amsterdam

Not your standard Amsterdam city break, Sarah and I stayed at her Aunt and Uncles house in a little suburbany area that, of course, had a canal (because Netherlands) with a lovely little path running alongside said canal with Willow trees and ducks and other general niceness. They also had a tiny pond in their back garden with a resident frog that I managed to make sort of pals with. We made it in to the city centre once to go the cinema and spent the rest of the time drinking sweet wine in the sun and going for walks.
